Update: On July 25, the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors authorized BHD to implement the Community Recovery Services psychosocial rehabilitation benefit under 1915(i).
Goal 05: Improve the coordination and flexibility of public and private funding committed to mental health services.
Performance Target: By January 2014, Milwaukee County will approve implementation of Community Recovery Services consistent with Wisconsin’s Medicaid State Plan Amendment under 1915(i) to create more flexible application of Medicaid waiver funding within appropriate fiscal constraints.
Tactical Objective 5.3: Designate the Continuum of Care Action Team or form a new CRS Planning Workgroup to advise Milwaukee County on the design of CRS.
Tactical Objective 5.4: Conduct a review of program and fiscal data to inform the development of the CRS implementation plan.
Tactical Objective 5.5: Submit the CRS implementation plan to the Milwaukee County Board for review and approval.
Progress on Target and Objectives: The Continuum of Care Action Team was established as the CRS Planning Workgroup. BHD has analyzed the projected program/service and fiscal benefits of implementing CRS, and staff will present the analysis on June 12 to the Health and Human Needs Committee of the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors. Upon approval by that committee, the motion for CRS implementation will come before the full Board of Supervisors.
