Goal 01: Improve satisfaction and recovery outcomes.
Performance Target: Satisfaction as measured by the MHSIP Consumer Survey will show measurable improvement for MCBHD’s Adult Adult Inpatient and Community Services Branch, including residential, supported apartments, Community Support Programs, Targeted Case Management programs, and day treatment with the long range goal of meeting/exceeding the National Research Institute consumer satisfaction standards.
Tactical Objective 1.1: Review MHSIP and Vital Voices survey instruments to determine if enhancements are required to capture person-centered principles.
Progress on Target and Objective: A total of four meetings have been held to discuss and work on Tactical Objective 1.1, with meetings now being held every other week. The work thus far has included a thorough review of the MHSIP and other widely used surveys, discussion about key areas that may be missing in the MHSIP, the value of continuing to use the MHSIP or enhancing/abandoning it, consultation with Zia Partners about future satisfaction survey plans, and research of what other localities are doing to fulfill this need. The group recently achieved consensus that we should continue to utilize the MHSIP survey so as to not lose the historical comparative data, but to replace a handful of questions with questions relating to key areas that are currently missing. The goal is to complete this task no later than June 30, 2013, so that we can move onto other Tactical Objectives.
Implementation Challenges: None at this time, other than our proposed very aggressive timeline.
Additional Assistance Needed: Identification of key cultural and community stakeholders to include in this process.
